I was born in Montreal, Canada.
Since childhood, movement and dance have been an important part of my life. In the mid-80s I began studying contemporary dance and Contact Improvisation. Looking for a solution to extreme back pain, I discovered the Alexander Technique and trained to become a teacher in Paris and Hamburg in the following years.
From 1992-96, I trained in Integrative Body Movement Therapy on the basis of Body-Mind Centering with Linda Hartley, which includes an experiential study of anatomy and developmental movement patterns.
I have been teaching the Alexander Technique in private practice since 1991, in workshops and at the Alexander Technik Schule Berlin (teacher training course) since 2004.
In 2010 I completed a Masters degree in Religious Studies at the FU Berlin.
I have two children, born in 1988 and 1999.
My ongoing study of dance, Contact Improvisation, Body-Mind Centering and Aikido has stimulated and challenged my understanding of the Alexander Technique and continues to provide a field in which to explore and apply the principles of the work.
